The beginning
photos show the original kitchen in its technicolor
glory. As we worked through the demo portion of the
project we also re-plumbed and ran new electric throughout
the kitchen including over lighting using recessed
cans. Cabinets were installed including a peninsula
which added which added work space area and included
an overhang for bar seating. The hardwood floors were
restored and behind the refrigerator area was converted
into additional storage. The original doors and casing
were replaced to more closely resemble the remainder
of the home. Accent lighting was provided by under-cabinet
LCD lights and two pendant lights over the peninsula.
The patio door was replaced for security and insulation
value. |
